In terms of design and build the Apple Macbook Pro MD101LL/A and the Macbook Air MD231LL/A are both solid and lightweght and they are both Apple's lowest priced laptop's. However the Macbook Pro has a lot more disk-space at 500 GB storage along with an optical drive. The Macbook Air on the other hand only has 128 GB hard dirve and no optical storage.
While both laptops are low priced the Macbook Pro has better specifications yet it is lower priced which means customers are getting more value for their money. The Macbook Pro is slightly bigger and heavier than the Macbook Air but if size itn't an issue then thie Pro is clearly the better choice.
